You can use an online scrapbooking software service such as CropMom. CropMom works with Macs. It’s a Flash-based software program. You can use your photos along with the digital scrapbooking graphics in CropMom to create digital scrapbook pages. It’s free to use. You can download the low-resolution JPEG file of your layout for use on the Web. Or you can purchase the high-resolution JPEG file for printing.

If you want to purchase a scrapbook program, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Elements are what are most used by digital scrapbookers who use Macs.

I use PhotoMix on my Mac which is a Windows software and it won’t work on a Mac (unless you have a Windows emulator). After I got a Windows emulator it works great for me.

I have Memory Mixer – It is easy to use and has a website to download graphics, etc. I bought mine from either QVC or HSN for less than 100.00…. just go to each of the web sites and do a search and you will find it. You need plenty of memory to make it work. Also, you can go to the Memory Mixer web site and use a demo.

I also use CS2 – It is more expensive but it is my favorite…..

I bought an HP 9800 printer. It will print 12 X 12 pages. Only prints,
no other features…..

There’s a great online, digital publishing company called Heritage Makers. I’m a consultant and I’ve been using it since Feb. It doesn’t even compare to other sites like Snapfish (previous poster). HM uploads both .jpg and .png files from Photoshop. The creative center gives you full control over the placement, size, & shape of your photos. There are numerous advanced features for editing (transparency, drop-shadows). You have unlimited texting capabilities along with a library full of pre-canned quotes. The BEST part about Heritage Makers (speaking as an ex-Creative Memories consultant, this blew me away), is over 30,000 pieces of digital artwork at your disposal for all projects you create! Might not be the most sophisticated program, but i like to use shutterfly.com. It’s free, you just have to sign up to be a member. I’ve made serveral books using shutterfly and everything comes out looking really nice. Good luck.
