Photoshop is MUCH more expensive...but its in another league then PSP. If you want a editing software just for the heck of it (im talking about leagal not the pirated guys here) then buy PSP but if your going to make a living with something or wanna try a whole new league get Photoshop. :) Both are good ^^

this video is totally right.. if your a fan of photoshop, then your a fan of reading and trying to find out how to do something...

paintshop is much more pleasing to the eye, user friendly, and a lower cost for a better program.. what more could you ask for!

paintshop is more user friendly, but photoshop has more utility for experienced photo editors.

both are great in different capacities. if you're looking to change the color of a shirt, sure go with paintshop.

If you're trying to break into "the bizz" and work with other designers, photoshop offers more utility and is the industry standard, which makes it easier to share the source if needed.

What exactly in Photoshop, did you master in 2 weeks, opening and closing of the program? ;)

I'd love to see your PS portfolio, please. :)

That's because PSP was made for an average user that needs something done, fast - without having to study volumes of books to figure out where to click once or twice. PS tossed a gazillion tools into a software and called it 'the best'. I'm sure PSP could do it too, but then people would spend hours, trying to read books on PSP. So what's the point of that? None whatsoever. If you want to save time, buy Corel. If you want the bragging rights, that you created something with PSP, buy Adobe. ;)

For the every day hobby user psp is better, fast semi easy results. For the advanced professional, photoshop is the way to go. Both will have a beginner scratching their heads. Learn how to layer to start.
